FRBNY could be more progressive to promote women's well-being in the work place. One of the biggest problem is the lack of enforcement and clarity on company policy. For example, each women seem to cut their own deal on maternity leave and it does not seem fair. More transparency would help to project fairness.

I am planning to take unpaid company leave (not considered maternity but is a continuation of my maternity leave) after my paid maternity leave is up. You have take up to one year unpaid as long as it's agreed with your manager but you are not guaranteed your jobs when you return. However, HR will work with you to find a position for you.

Excellent flexibility in work hours. I work remotely 2 days a week and can shift my hours to accommodate my family's schedule. Full 12 weeks paid maternity (2 weeks paid paternity) and additional unpaid leave allowed if you work with your manager.
