As part of their annual Top 50 Companies for Diversity list, DiversityInc just named the nine best companies for executive women.
The list, which is compiled using a free, metrics-driven survey completed by nearly 2,000 companies, ranks participants according to four key areas of diversity management: talent pipeline, talent development, leadership accountability, and supplier diversity. Diversity within these areas is assessed based on participants’ answers to 200 sophisticated questions, including how many women have corner offices and the ratio of Blacks and Latinos being promoted into management positions.
For 2017, DiversityInc found that the Top 9 Companies for Executive Women are as follows:
  1. EY
  2. Northrop Grumman
  3. Cummins
  4. KPMG
  5. Marriott International
  6. J.C. Penney
  7. Kellogg
  8. PwC
  9. United Continental Holdings
EY, which was found to be the No. 1 most-diverse company across the board, also received the top slot in a few other subcategories, including Top Companies for People with Disabilities, Top Companies for Diversity Councils, and Top Companies for Mentoring. Northrop Grumman, which was deemed the second-most disability friendly company, also ranked as No. 1 for veteran representation.
