We all know that women face a lot of societal pressures. We feel guilty about practically everything, and we’re constantly being asked to do more. One of the most unfair reasons working women feel bad about themselves? Leaving their kids at home while they make that cash.
That’s why it’s so calming (and important) to hear even superstars making millions feel bad about leaving their kids for work.

Earlier this week, country singer Jessie James Decker went viral when she broke down in an Instagram video. The vulnerable vid was viewed hundreds of thousands of times, and Romper called it "a vulnerable moment plenty of parents have found themselves in before."

“So I just dropped the kids off at school and I’m a little emotional because I have to be gone off and on for the next two weeks," Jessie said in the video. "I'm so excited about all the great things I'm getting to do but it's just hard.”

She laments that leaving her kids hasn’t gotten easier, and she cries even when she’s gone for only a few hours.

"There are times when I'll fly in and out — same day — and I still will cry before I take off. Or a few days [before], which is what I'm doing. You never not cry as a mom when you leave your kids.”

The singer has 3 kids: Vivianne, 4, Eric Jr., 2, and 7-month-old Forrest. She’s married to footballer Eric Decker, who takes care of the kids while she’s gone.

Celebrities – they’re just like us! Except with exquisite Versace wardrobes. I mean, unless you all are getting decked out like that. Lucky. But in all seriousness, this guilty feeling for putting themselves first is something working moms everywhere face and it's something we need to rectify as a society to allow for equal pay and equal opportunity, regardless of gender or parental status.
