Welcome to I Love My Job, the series where we hear from women who really love their jobs. In this edition, we sat down with Randi Weitzman, Executive Director of the Permanent Placement practice groups at Robert Half, including technology, legal, marketing and creative.

In the nearly 23 years Weitzman has been with the company, she’s had eight different roles — spanning from account executive and practice director to vice president of sales to her current position. “I absolutely love my company because I've had the opportunity to take my journey in many different directions and to new heights,” she says. “Every time I level up, I engage in projects and opportunities in ways that capitalize on my previous experiences; It's been great.”

And, throughout it all, Robert Half has been there to assist her growth. “I’ve been supported throughout my entire career here by being able to be an executive and a full-time working mom who is a present and shows up for my family, while also changing people's lives and building my career,” Weitzman tells us. As she says, she’s had “23 years of happiness and opportunity,” at the company.

In the video below, Weitzman shares more on why she loves working at Robert Half. We also provide highlights from the video discussion in the following article.

What do you find most exciting about your work at Robert Half?

There's a lot of different things that I love about my work. One of the things is that… we are in the business of changing peoples’ lives. In my current role, my team’s impact contributes to  changing thousands of lives across the country every year. Robert Half helps individuals find meaningful work that they love across all industries. I also get really excited about hiring new individuals into our company and sharing my story. By telling them about the success I've had through the years and showing them how to do this job well, natural pathways for mentorship, personal and professional development, and succession and opportunity are created. We are working extremely hard to make sure that we spend the time and provide resources to ensure that [new hires] are successful and can create a trajectory that is achievable.

How would you describe the culture at Robert Half?

It’s dynamic, it's fun and it's supportive. Twenty-three years ago, pre-pandemic, I never thought I would ever be working in a remote and hybrid environment, but we do now. Over the last two-and-a-half years, our company leaned on technology features through Microsoft Teams, encouraged peer-to-peer recognition through our Employee Recognition program and invested in the development of our employee network groups to enhance personal connections and relationship building. Robert Half’s fun and  supportive corporate culture has been greatly enhanced while working in a hybrid environment from afar… We have found a way to still celebrate and enjoy each other in this hybrid world.

What are your favorite things about Robert Half?

There's lots of great things. [For example,] I have an incredible boss who inspires me to be a better person and give back to the individuals that work with me. Ultimately, I love what we do… We change peoples’ lives; we have an impact on someone who is changing their career, which includes having money to put a roof over their head and food on the table and potentially changing their entire family's trajectory. I always feel like we're giving back…

Something [else] that I absolutely love about Robert Half, are our employee network groups. , Robert Half has done a phenomenal job of expanding our employee network groups, which now include Black-, Pan-Asian-, LGBTQIA+-, Hispanic- and women-employee led groups Being a part of the Global Women Employee Network his has given me a chance to  get to know women across teams and time zones.

[This emphasis on employee groups has] given us an opportunity to really collaborate as one company

How does Robert Half support you?

Let's first talk about work-life balance. Programs that are provided every day and every month encourage taking care of yourself… From hosting charity events, to yoga days, discussions like “Be the Change” or “ConversAsians,” or our annual Season of Service, we offer plenty of opportunities for individuals to bring their personal experiences and hobbies into the professional, hybrid setting.,  We [also] offer new flexibility, which we are calling this hybrid environment, that allows people to do their job on high-speed while still coming into the office for purpose-driven meetings and work so that we can continue building out our fantastic culture.

I [also] believe that Robert Half is a very supportive organization to those that have families. We have the best benefits that any company could ask for.
