If you’re a new mom, you may be looking at Meghan Markle and thinking her situation bears little resemblance to your own. After all, she’s rich in childcare help (and, you know, money), but she also has difficulties that come with parenting on a very public stage. And embarking on a royal tour just a few months after welcoming a baby? That’s definitely not something the typical new parent does. But Markle just made an admission about scheduling the royal tour around baby Archie’s feeding schedule, and we have to say: same.
“We’re doing well,” Markle told reporters, as People reports. “I think the schedule — they have been very kind to me, because everything is based around Archie’s feeding times. So it’s a full plate.” Traveling internationally with a 4-month-old sounds like quite a packed plate to us.
Just like that, Markle showed us that even royals have to deal with some of the tricky day-to-day elements of raising a baby. We can’t imagine it’s easy to undertake such an intense travel schedule with a new baby, but it looks like Markle and Prince Harry are finding ways to make it all work. And it appears the jam-packed trip is doing wonderful things for the new parents’ relationship.
Despite the difficulties of traveling with a baby — we imagine sticking to an infant’s feeding isn’t easy when you’re constantly on the go — the family appears to be handling it beautifully.
“It’s brought Harry and Meghan even closer,” a source tells Us Weekly of the tour. “They’re calling it a life-changing experience.” From where we sit, it certainly looks epic.
