Meghan Markle's Mother Just Proved Mom Love Never Goes Away

When major life changes occur, many women rely on their moms for emotional support and unconditional love. Luckily for Meghan Markle, she won’t need to deal with an Atlantic Ocean-sized separation from her mom anymore.

The Daily Mail reports that Doria Ragland, Duchess Meghan's mom, will soon make the move to London to be closer to her royal daughter and the rest of the Windsor family.

“She is getting ready to move to London. I think she will be going as soon as possible. I know that she was eager to live closer to her daughter. She also fell in love with England and told me when she got back that it’s somewhere she believes she too could happily live,” a friend of Ragland’s explained to The Daily Mail.

Ragland is currently based in Los Angeles, but she recently resigned from her position as a social worker at Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services to free herself up for her UK move. Her friend mentioned that she’ll be relocating to London right before her 62nd birthday, which will allow her to celebrate with Meghan and Harry.

In spite of her often-tumultuous family dynamic (thanks to her press-happy dad and half siblings), Markle has alluded to feeling a bit homesick for LA, talking about how she misses “palm trees, the heat of the sun and the ocean breeze”. But she’s super close with Ragland, and we’re sure that her mom’s move across the pond will bring the Duchess some much-needed assistance and maternal affection as she handles her life’s very drastic changes.

I guess mama love never goes away, no matter how old (or royal) your kids are.
