UKG was born from a historic merger that created one of the world’s leading HCM cloud companies. Kronos Incorporated and Ultimate Software announced an intent to merge in February 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic came to global attention. And, as a testament to the power of focusing on people that both pre-merged organizations and the newly formed UKG share, the company committed to no layoffs or furloughs as a result of the pandemic. In fact, the organization has only grown since that time! It has hired thousands of employees since the merger and plans to welcome thousands more in the coming years.

U Krewers will be the first to tell you that UKG is a company that welcomes people from all backgrounds. PRIDE at UKG
At the end of 2021, UKG announced a multimillion-dollar pay equity initiative called Close the Gap, which was designed to drive awareness and action to address the pay disparity among men, women, and underrepresented groups that continues to significantly impact today’s workforce.
Through this campaign, UKG is committing millions of dollars toward creating meaningful and lasting change to address this disparity. This includes a $3 million investment in critical programs and initiatives; partnering with four nonprofits that are focused on bringing greater access to education, opportunity, and pay equity to Women of Color and other underrepresented groups; launching a pay-equity research study in 2022; creating educational resources to increase awareness; and inviting all people to join the Close the Gap Pledge to fight inequality in the workplace.

While so much is unknown, one thing is for certain: UKG continues to grow. Thus, as UKG grows, so does the company’s need for talented, collaborative, and innovative individuals to join the family.
