What exactly does that entail and how does it make Sysco an especially appealing place for women to work? We’ve broken down each pillar of the exciting new program and how it’s empowering Sysco employees to seize the possibilities in their personal and professional lives.

This series of developed health benefits help Sysco associates tackle their personal health head-on and provide additional support to associates and their dependents who are managing health challenges. 

Through the program, associates receive a new, dedicated Health Pro advocate to help simplify the complexities of healthcare. This professional helps associates understand their healthcare options and take full advantage of their benefits. From answering questions about benefits to reviewing medical bills to scheduling appointments, the Health Pro is like having your own personal healthcare advisor. 

Associates also benefit from musculoskeletal condition support to help associates who need physical therapy, an online behavioral counseling program for people with prediabetes and other obesity-related health risk factors, and nutritional therapy, which has been clinically shown to reverse Type 2 diabetes.

Perhaps one of the most compelling new benefits, Sysco associates receive access to City of Hope oncology experts who offer decision support for individuals with complex cancers.

Powering You at Sysco helps associates receive the support they need to prioritize their mental well-being. The program offers a telemental health service, including an online assessment tool that matches associates with a therapist and allows them to work with a therapist via online video chat from the comfort and privacy of their own homes. The program also offers enhanced Live and Work Well support, allowing associates special access to mental health and substance use disorder resources and care. 

Sysco’s new benefits also help parents provide care for their dependents. The new Parent Support resources assist associates who have dependents with special needs or behavioral concerns. 

3. Sysco is helping associates feel secure.

Sysco understands that financial wellness is an incredibly important part of feeling secure and empowered. With that in mind, the Powering You program offers a financial tool to help associates keep up with their financial progress, financial benefits and other important elements of preparing for their futures.
