"Painting Leads to Reflective Thoughts "
I want to start my post by saying that I've truly enjoyed the shared content, webinars, virtual job fairs, and engaging with brilliant women.
The last 1.5 week, I decided that I wanted to paint one of my rooms. I wanted something different and dramatic. A vibe that would remind me that at the end of a hard journey, all the phases were worth it to achieve the end result.
Having the courage to paint an off color on the crown molding wasn't a decision made lightly. As I started to formulate the color scheme and design, I got the supplies I needed and started.
Being up on the ladder to paint the 10' high ceilings was an unsettling feeling. I had to stop, climb down to the bottom, feel the safety of the floor, climb up the rungs, and start again. I did this many times throughout the painting process. As I centered my art painting, leaving enough room for the rectangle zinc aluminum planter, I had an epiphany. I realized that pretty much the last 121 days has been like that for many of us. We start and have to reset due to the many changes we've been experiencing. Some have reached their success goals earlier during this time and others are still having to reset.
My brain has been on full analytical mode and my heart has been on reflective thoughts.
Being able to take time and find the beauty in the simplest things like redoing a room helped me to recharge.
What are some of the unique and new ways you've recharged during these times?
