Have you ever thought to yourself, do I have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset? Maybe you once had a fixed mindset or maybe you know someone who has one now. Many researchers claim that simply changing one's beliefs about yourself and your ability to learn can have an impact on all areas of life, both academic and personal. Do you agree or disagree that your beliefs hold such power for change? Why?
Our own mind is the place where we become aware of our thoughts and decide whether they are true to us or not. In order to change our behavior, our thoughts need to change. This doesn’t come easy when naturally, we are inclined to interact with our fixed mindset instead. I completely agree that a person’s beliefs do hold a very strong power to change. I feel those who disagree are not capable of growing or changing. This is what growth is about. Having a growth mindset has benefits that are backed up by science that can help one academically, professionally, and in their personal lives. In situations where our fixed mind talks to us, we should talk back with a growth mindset voice. This is how we will always continue to evolve and change. This is how we grow!
