Talk to them from the beginning; if you have a medical condition, are a student, or have children let them know from the get-go (after you've impressed them of course). They'll appreciate the respect you show by telling them about your obligations upfront.

The higher up of an employee you are, the more flexibility you have. However, they are very respectful of women who have conditions such as endometriosis and PCOS, and respect when you need time off for a medical condition or family leave. I will say, most of it depends on how well your general manager empathizes with or knows about conditions such as PCOS. I'm very grateful XY was my GM.

February 2018

This is a very old school company who's policies reflect the fact that not very women work here. Depending on the job, you could be expected to work your 40 hours or you could be expected to pick up your cell phone on vacations or where ever you are whenever. I have heard people openly comment that certain females only got the job because they were female. I would not say that the company openly discriminates against females but I would not say the company is very family friendly or female supportive.

Fujitsu is a male-dominated company? Instead of thinking about stereotypes, why not ask one of our female colleagues so that they can put you right.

  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

    8 paid / 4 unpaid

Amount of PAID weeks depended on if you had a c-section or natural birth. You got to take a total of 12 weeks, some weeks paid with short term disability, one week of actual maternity, and the rest you had to fill in with PTO or go unpaid. You could also borrow up to 40 hours of PTO and acrue the hours back once you were back to work, however, if you leave the company before you acrue all the borrowed hours back, the difference gets taken out of your final paycheck.
