They value work-life balance, with little overtime and generous vacation days. Working from home once a week is a norm in many departments. That said, it's overwhelmingly male at the top and a rigid chain of command culture doesn't allow a more vibrant and dynamic work environment.

I did not take the maternity leave personally, but the official policy allows 3 months, plus two weeks bonding period. Paternity leave is generous (I believe it's two months) and is not stigmatized in the company, which is rather exceptional in the financial sector.

Good work-life balance, but very hierarchical, with few women in leadership positions.

I've worked here more than 10 years. In general women are mostly in support roles, upper management is considered the "old boys" club, but that has slowly been changing in the last few years as new CEO's try and break that mentality up. Maternity leave is excellent and the company was good at supporting nursing after return to work as well. Flexible work arrangements 100% depend on the manager (and I have a good one) and the state laws. In general I have been happy working here.

I've worked here for 2.5 years and women work in various roles from support to executive. Few women in upper management, executive positions. Most all support positions are staffed by women. Culture if very corporate and not comfortable to women. 12 weeks paid maternity leave plus 8 weeks paid paternity leave. Flexible work arrangements are available, but difficult to procure. Expected to work from home if must leave early to pick up children.

I have been fortunate to have had a long career here and have generally been treated fairly. There are a lot of women working for the organization but it is difficult to get into senior leadership positions. Management is male-dominated and not diverse which makes it difficult to network with them so those in mid-level management positions don't seem to advance because of that. When they do, it seems those choices are made simply because of diversity requirements and they do not last long in those positions. The insurance world is still an old boys club but it is also a very rewarding business and if you work hard and care about your business you will be rewarded for that. You can set yourself up to have a long career here and things will continue to change for the positive as people retire and new opportunities emerge.

There is still an old boys club in the insurance business and that comes with it's challenges. There are amny people within the organization who do not consider gender when making decisions, unfortunately there are some that are old school and have influence that is not positive. The company employees a lot of women, but it is difficult to get into senior leadership.

There are more women in the lower class role, however, we do have a woman that runs our portion of the company.

The company back in the day was great; the new regime that moved in after the 2008 crash are monsters. The hours and salaries really vary by department.
