It's what you make of it. You will get lowballed and taken advantage of unless you are assertive. If you are assertive and make good relationships with the c-level, you will have some pretty decent opportunties.

Geben is run by a single mom who is passionate about gender equality in the workplace. We have 10 weeks of paid maternity and paternity leave with a 2 week transition period. In addition, we have a very flexible work schedule which allows you to design your day and work when and where you are most productive.

the work / life balance would be hard to juggle as a mom since you're working late hours a lot and it is not work-from-home friendly

Edelman has great benefits and policies to benefit working women. However, the culture and hours can vary by office and team, and women who have other priorities (grad school, volunteer activities) are not given as much flexibility as moms.

Weber is a diverse workplace and prides itself on being so. I found it disheartening that there are many more visible men in senior positions than women, but I also think the company culture is such that this will change over time.
