In my 25 years of professional experience this has been the most progressive and flexible employer I've had. I've really enjoyed working at Capital One for the last 6 years. I've gone through some major life changes in that time and they've been nothing but supportive. The work is also very interesting in that they challenge you to think beyond the norm.

    I'm an exempt employee in a professional individual contributor role and find that I have a lot of flexibility. Those in non-exempt roles (particularly call center) may not have as much flexibility but from what I understand our policies in the call centers are fairly progressive compared to others.

I can't imagine another corporation that would support me as much as Capital One does in terms of flexibility and benefits. Having two kids, husband deployed overseas and a full-time job is tough but Capital One makes it all work. If you are looking for an employer that not only says but does - look no further, honestly.

Overall, Capital One is a great place to work. While we do lack female representation at the very top of the organization, it's something that our leaders are aware and open about. Our culture is not hierarchical - the best idea is the one that is chosen, regardless of who proposed it. Our policies are generous and well aligned (if not exceeding) the market. I would definitely recommend Capital One as a place to work to my family and friends.

    Capital One is very flexible around hours and working from home. There are many associates who work modified schedules consistently, and there are many others who work modified schedules ad hoc as needed.
