Good place to work if you are decades into your career and want to coast until retirement. Not ideal for those looking to grow their careers at a fast pace.

Maybe. Flexible work arrangements and reasonable hours to promote work/life balance. In terms of career growth, the opportunities are limited and promotions happen very slowly (after several years, if at all).

  • One Thing Employer Could Improve

Reward talent, drive and leadership potential over tenure.

They promote women within to leadership opportunities and also provide a lot of support for women throughout the company. Very male dominant from years past, but the women across the country are incredibly talented and it is a great network to work with.

Prudential is very employee-focused and strives for equal treatment of both genders. They also have generous family leave and work life balance policies.

October 2016

In principle the company is really trying to get people to think about flexible hours, but there are many 'dinosaurs' working there that think work life balance means you flex your day 30 min to go to the bank before work and then compensate those 30 min in that same day. It is very outdated..... so it really depends on who you work for. I would suggest you carefully consider who is your line manager before joining. However with so much turnover, you may not have your boss too long.... mine quit before I started :-( and this impacted my experience.

October 2016

There are not many women in high power positions in this company. They appear to have a family-friendly culture but I was punished for hiding my pregnancy for as long as I could, even though it was for personal reasons.
