"Don't think you're just going to be a cashier. You'll also be expected to help stock merchandise, change prices on shelves, sweep, mop, scrub toilets. "

"If you're lucky, you have a manager who posts the schedule 2 weeks out. But schedules change from week to week, so there's little consistency. You may work 4 hours one day, 9 the next. And you might work the closing shift 1 day, the opening shift the next. Even on your day off you're expected to be on standby in case someone calls out or just doesn't show up."

"Do not do it! Are they trying to offer you a store management position and promising a 5 1/2 day work week? What they are not telling you is that they claim it is 50 to 55 hours a week but most store managers work 70 plus hours a week because they do not get enough payroll to run the store. The store manager is required to work on their one day a week off in the form of meetings and conference calls. By the time you figure out what your pay is if you were paid hourly it is in the range of $8-9 an hour. They do not allow any work-life balance at all. Most store managers only stay in the position for 6 to 8 months before burning out so bad they quit often without even having a new job lined up because they are not left any time to even go on job interviews. "Don't do it! Policies says one thing, reality is different. They make up the "rules" as they go along. Everyone treated differently based on the manager liking or not liking you. not based on work ethics at all. constantly being put down.
IE, Asked to clean outside windows on a 12 foot ladder with no safety equipment or spotters.
Bathroom (only had 1) out of order for 3 months. had to go to store across the highway to relieve yourself."

"All forms of management (ASM, Store Manager, DM, & RM), take on a “pass the buck” approach to just about everything. No accountability. High expectations with no guidance on how they want unattainable goals achieved."
