December 2017

The work culture is very snide and uncooperative. Possibly because they're unhappy with their positions or something about them, workers are unpleasant to each other a lot. It can be a very high stress position because of this.

It used to be a very family friendly place, but new policies have made it so you worry about getting a write up for having to be off or late for family emergencies.

There is no paid maternity leave here. They let you use your vacation hours, but aren't upfront about how much you have before you go.

Your experience (lifestyle, job responsibility, overall statisfaction) can really vary from case to case, depending on who you work for. Invest in finding strong mentors early on before you might need them and then try to work with those people.

If you make it to a certain level (manager or above), the company is more supportive and invested in you staying. However, if you're in a promotion window, you're in a hard spot since the messaging is if you really want this promotion, be ready to work like crazy for the next year.

The benefits are great from medical to flex time to maternity leave. But they don't promote or pay women equally to men and the number of women in management is low.

That there is good work/life balance. It's a good place to work after you've had your kids and won't need maternity leave.

Currently, maternity policies are in line with most other companies. In the US, Danone is re-evaluating parental leave policies and I believe will make significant, positive changes in the next 12-18 months.

July 2015

I've worked here for 10 years and there are a lot of women working here, but predominantly in home office and support roles. Women in leasing and development don't seem to advance to the most senior roles because of subtle issues. In general, there are approximately officers of the company, of which 5 are women for a fantastic rate of 16.5%.
