Like most tech companies there are a lot of men, but the company is improving now they have hired a lot more women but mainly on marketing side.

    Management treated everyone fairly but there was a huge issue with the office being a frat house. I was involved in a lot of uncomfortable discussions among my peers and it management/HR didn't do much about it. There also wasn't really an HR team or protocol for these kinds of issues.

This company will challenge you, there are a lot of things they are doing right to try and balance the diversity equation at this company. Whirlpool has invested time in family leave, programs to support mothers milk/nursing rooms, and great opportunities for internships as well as college support for families.

    A lot of this depends on your manager over the policy of the company. If you are in a role that requires desk time (e.g. customer service) the flexibility can be more difficult. But I have found in most field, merchandising, marketing, and sales roles the leadership is 100% supportive of being there for family.

TD is one of the best cultures I have experienced for advancing and promoting women into senior roles. There is a very strong Women in Leadership network and a tremendous amount of focus on retaining talented senior women and recruiting outstanding junior women. Overall, no complaints with the culture. The only consideration is a very off market mat leave policy.
