It seems like this place is better for males because women don't get a fair chance to move up as easily even though they are more educated.

Be prepared to take a strong, yet graceful, position in order to progress. Look after the younger women, who would benefit from mentoring in order to fully develop their potential. Be sure to get involved in the Women in Leadership programme, and push your line manager for access. Escalate if needed.

At least in the Human Resources department, everyone was extremely supportive and encouraging - there were events and lectures especially for women in the workplace and we often went out to lunch with each other.

The cloud organization was progressive and supportive of women. The traditional (telecom) organization was not. The 1 woman on the CTL Exec board was asked to retire. She was back-filled with a man. No other women in senior leadership roles. Cronyism from the top all the way through.

Management and Sales team very misogynistic, political and white male dominated. Womens (and non -whites) opinions, skills, and abillities not respected or recognized. There are some decent males working here, but unfortunately the bad ones are those that are recognized, promoted and listened too. Wish I had not waited so long to leave.

You should know your rights and legislation in terms of diversity and inclusion to be an active and career driven female professional. Speak up and explain your aspirations prior you sign a contract.

Maybe. If you are not into career growth that would be the ideal path for you in terms of culture and social package. But don't expect a soon promotion even though you are working for several years and having all the competencies. Preference will be towards men.
