June 2018

It's the best place I've ever worked. Of course it's my company and I set it up in response to all the things I didn't like at other companies.

Don't. They treat women like garbage, even though they trumpet their supposed "diversity".

September 2017

It's government and all that goes along with it. That does mean robust benefits and, because of its size, most supervisors are comfortable with employees exercising flexible hours.

Mid level women are not advancing and the top level of management seems to be heavily male dominated in recent years.

August 2015

The owner is inappropriate, demeaning, abusive toward his female staff. He preys on young girls who don't 'know any better'. He also gives his staff 'personality tests' prior to hiring them and uses the data to manipulate them. I was promoted to manager and left shortly after because I couldn't stand to watch him in action. Repulsive. It's a wonder he's still in business.

Inappropriate comments about women High expectations of availability even when not supposed to be working Benefits (health insurance, parental leave) have to be negotiated separately - not part of organizational practice
