Do not be intimidated by all the men in your training class. Try to apply for open positions as they come up. Most people only stay in those positions an average of 6 months anyway. Ask for more unpaid maternal leave if you're not ready to come back to work. With my first I only took 12 weeks FMLA (6 weeks paid/6 weeks unpaid). Fidelity also offers up to 12 weeks of personal leave of absence. It's unpaid and has to be approved by director but if you're in a larger department such as Service, it will probably get approved. For breastfeeding moms, they have a "mothers room" for pumping. Very nice with a fridge and sink and limited access.

Politics have thwarted the collaborative environment it once used to be.

Long hours, mostly all male coworkers. Very frat-like atomosphere. Fun and you will learn a lot but not family friendly and you need to be able to put in the time to be successful.
