While the ratio is 50/50, there are not as many women in leadership and there is obviously a lot more pressure to work longer hours as you progress through the organisation however there is good flexibility so you can work from home and it's common practise across the organisation

December 2017

This is a great place to work. Company leadership is majority women, the founder is a woman and the policies and culture of the company reflect that. The day-to-day grind can be monotonous due to the nature of the work, but it is made up in spades by the great people that work there. It is incredibly hard to find teams that are as great as the ones here.

December 2017

It's all about priorities. It's a great community. Work life balance is STELLAR in most positions. And the benefits provide my family with extra security. But I don't feel valued or compensated to the degree I deserve. Luckily, my partner makes enough that I can afford to make that compromise...for now.

It's political. Your manager has a lot of discretion. Does he/she WANT to accommodate you? He/she can. But I've seen people get denied accommodation for what is clearly personal/political reasons while others with the exact request are approved.

Depends on your management and how flexible and open they are to having a work-life balance. Ethics is questionable in many cases.

April 2017

In general, Swiss Re does a good job of looking at people based on their skillset not gender. There still is a bit of a Swiss mentality though, but as more women and non-Swiss people infiltrate the top positions this has change has been felt. Maternity leave is 12 weeks paid in the US as well.
