Maternity is standard, nothing special to note. Matches every other employer out there, does not exceed expectations.

  • One Thing Employer Could Improve

Improve work-life balance and policies (e.g. flex-time, limit face time)

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. It would depend on the woman's situation and career goals. If you work in the US, I would say being a mother and working full time would be tough as the hours are grueling.

March 2016

I think the males get away with being in a "good old boys" club, at least at my claim center. There was plenty of women leadership though,

February 2016

This is a very specific situation, so I have no idea what Ellis Brigham is like in the shops or the offices. Nothing meant maliciously, just be ready for many jokes. The current manager is nice, and would listen if I went to him, but it's more effort that it's worth for me

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. Very young male dominated environment. Be ready for many sexual innuendoes if you apply here. They aren't meant cruelly, and the guys are nice, they just don't really get it. The best way to deal with it is to find a way to laugh along.

October 2015

There's a lot of working women here. It's not the best but it's also not the worst place to work. Since it's a private company mainly it depends on whether they like you or not and what team you fall under. I think I'm valued and therefore have been taken very good care of.

August 2015

This company is stuck in a cultural time warp. Because the parent company is based in Japan, everything is ultimately run from overseas. Top executives are installed by and relocated from Japan. However, no one in an executive position understands the U.S. market and how it must be approached differently than the Japanese market.
