Management is mostly supportive in promoting women. Overall career growth is currently very stagnant. Best for those early in their career to gain experience.

Currently there is flexibility, but it is very dependent on your work environment. In office personnel have less flexibility than work at home. Work at home is becoming rare, however,so flexibility is likely to decrease.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. Recommendation is dependent on phase of career.

Have to really push to be paid well. The benefits plan is only average in my view - even though we technically are part of United Health Group. They make improvements in the HSA to help make the benefit plan richer, but on the east coast, hospitals have a better benefit plan because of 1199 union support. Raises are small but they do offer a bonus program.

I know a number of staff members that have kids. Most seem happy but nervous about an uncertain future with O360. Can we continue to grow? If not, they may make cuts.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. There are certain jobs that seem better for work life balance. Mine is not one of them. I am in a Human Capital Consultant role.

StudioD is a great way to earn some extra cash but without benefits and steady work available it can only supplement income.

Writing for Demand Media (now StudioD) was a feast-or-famine experience. Available writing titles would show up in large batches, and then there would be no new titles available for weeks, months, or now even years!

The client is king at Cognizant. If you're in a client facing role you could be asked to travel and be in front of the client at any point. It's exhausting. However, working from home is the norm so that provides a lot of flexibility.
