You won't take a lunch, a break, a breath without getting a stare down from your manager. You will hear bad things about your peers and know the same is happening about you. If you need time to take for personal reasons, expect to explain in full and have it held against you. Leave of absence for anything, including having a baby will land you on a 'list' that equals layoff soon.

They do not practice what they preach. Wellness, mental health, work-life balance, financial fitness are all buzz words and programs that exist. However, you don't get the chance to stop working long enough to actually take advantage of any of them. If you do, you are WFR'd quickly.

January 2018

Very intelligent, driven and high level employees. However, there has always been a glass ceiling for women and very few promotions.

If you are able to handle the dysfunctional dynamics of Senior Management....then its the place for you. The staff that you work with are amazing - the mission of the company outstnading...but it all gets lost when you have a Ship being navigated by the Blind...A thorough assesment of the organization needs to be performed by an independent entity - to truly instill some processes that will make the 'machine' run more efficiently

This is a male dominated industry. The car buisness inside dealership and outside is incredibly male driven. You will move laterally but it is difficult to move up.

February 2016

TFA is predominantly women. Lots of women of diverse backgrounds in leadership positions. Great benefits make taking maternity leave and vacation easy. Also, lots of flexible & remote working arrangements. The team you are on determines some of the flexibility you are given as well as the ease at which you may be promoted.

November 2015

HR is very unsupportive of maternity leave. Example: Upon returning to work, I received an email from our HR contact stating, "1. Verify you returned to work today. 2 Submit a MD note confirming your ability to return to work. 3. Today is Oct. 7 and the pay-period for the 15th is already closed, so you won't see any pay until Oct. 30." Well, isn't that a lovely tone to come back to! None of this information was communicated beforehand and it was just a mismanaged process throughout. CR Bard is a 100+ year old company and there is still a prevalent "Good Ole' Boys" Club mindset. It is difficult for working women to attain serious leadership roles at this company because I don't truly believe management values or promotes the women in its' workforce.
