Be firm. Do NOT back down in face of bullying or not being paid for travel expenses. Its' not you, they are like that to all women.

Culture. Currently its reactionary, unprofessional, with women being bullied etc. Internal systems for claims, expenses, travel etc are the only fair thing - they are lousy across the board, irrespective of your position or gender. You will end up losing money on business travel because claims do not get paid.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. As a stopgap until something better comes along, you could negotiate a better salary. But if you are a woman dont' expect to be treated fairly, specially the higher you go. Have been told that promotion will not happen because I am a woman, even if the most qualified, also that challenges in projects are because "You are a woman". Those words were literally used.

Depending on which practice you're in and what your relationships are, it can work out for raising a family - i.e. being staffed locally, adjusting schedule, etc

No paid maternity leave. Leave is only for 12 weeks as per FMLA. This is also unpaid. If you are pregnant or planning a family, i would not recommend this company in USA.
