Work life balance is not there and I could see having a family while working here would be incredibly difficult

This employer does not hold men to the same level of accountability as women. The hours are not flexible and family leave time is not respected for women.

LinkedIn does a wonderful job focusing on how to make the employee experience wonderful. That being said, it is not just the company's responsibility to ensure each employee is taking advantage of everything offered to them - it is the individual's job to make sure they are taking advantage of all the benefits offered.

Corporate banking is still male dominated and if you want to succeed you have to act like a man. It is subtley discouraged to take time off to have a family or be anything but available at all hours of the morning, day and evening. Including outside of operating hours for salaried employees. Our CEO is a female, and when questioned how she became successful as the first female CEO in a large financial company, she stated its because she just "fit in with the men."

February 2016

Great company to work for in general. I think there's a pay gap (like most other places). They're mostly supportive across the board with encouraging growth and providing training. Maternity leave could definitely be better. With either MMLA or FMLA STD would kick in so 66% or something.

January 2016

The company is about 75% women, so it is a generally positive environment for women. The leadership in the organization is closer to 50% male, 50% female, which is large imbalance when you consider the overall gender makeup of the company.
