Don't expect to be promoted if you have a family, especially young children. If you don't have children, anticipate them to hold you back because you could have children. Plus, HR will minimize any pay increases because it is "irresponsible to give a woman that much money all at once".

I actually believe that women are targeted for these positions and taken advantage of. They paint the picture for being family-friendly and flexible but the hours leave no room for a work-life balance.

December 2017

Leadership demonstrates pattern of discrimination and hostility toward people of color. Such an environment is a detriment and creates negative impact on people of color: inequitable promotion schedules, imbalance of workload, different processes of discipline between white staff and people of color, and loss of emotional and physical health. Turnover rate in 2017 36%, 2 times the average for a non-profit -- and most who leave are people of color.

January 2016

They are friendly people. They spend money like crazy, but tell me that they can't afford to pay me any benefits or paid leave. I have been there two years without a pay increase or performance evaluation. Production and sales are higher than ever. Men are in sales, all women are in support positions.

January 2016

Women are not treated well here. They are rarely promoted and receive excuses instead of raises. The only SEO female director was often excluded from leadership meetings, which were never on her schedule and happened only after she left for the day.

October 2015

Mid-level women have frequent discussions around balancing family obligations and the hours commitment. And the longer you are with the firm, the more you feel the "boys club" atmosphere. However, the firm does have dialogue and seems to make an effort to bridge the gap.
