A great, un-structured environment that you can make your own if you have the chops

Pros: Scheduling flexibility, unlimited vacation Cons: Women are often talked over in meetings and excluded from company social events. CEO brings a "Female Body Inspector" cup to meetings. HR is the CEO's sister. Company is not professionally managed.

The mission and vision of JFCS is still admirable. This team works hard to provide the behavioral, social and medical services needed in the Valley. The agency is predominantly female but leadership is still male heavy.

There is less flexibility than once existed. Even the managers who want to respect the employee's life outside of work have a hard time doing so because of the demands placed on them by the executive leadership team.

Ask for consistent feedback from higher up females and males. Ask your mentor for feedback as well and have them be your advocate when needed.

December 2017

It wasn't so much a discrimination towards women as it was a discrimination against all of the workers. They try to get away with providing as little pay as possible and overloading you with work.

Remove the current woman manager who is driving the business into closing and upper management is blind to this and the best employees are leaving because of this. She is costing the company productivity and the bottom line.

April 2017

Its a very stable company with the ability to earn six figures. Showroom consulting is recommended for someone who wants a very fast pace retail type position. You need to be very patient, customer service oriented and willing to be pulled in many directions throughout the day. It can be very stressful and you have to multi-task all day long otherwise you will never get all your work done. Most showroom consultants are in their 20s/30s without children. Low work/life balance. Very demanding and no flexibility.

August 2016

The benefits are great, but men are often promoted more quickly because it is a boys club. It is about who you know and many of the men do not take the time to get to know the women.
