There are women that work in IT in McDonald's but very few in leadership roles. There isn't a lot in the way of mentors or assistance. Its a very male driven group. They do offer flexibility and a good work/life balance, which is appealing but I can be hard knowing that there isn't a lot of opportunity for growth. It really depends on how you focus on your career and what you want out of the role.

McDonald's Corporate is a great place to learn and develop. But It's challenging for women who want to lead. They have programs to proactively promote women to be sure they are represented, but the leadership ranks are far from equal. The guys still get many more of the top jobs and the ones I talked to believe that's purely because the men were most qualified.

Beware. Volatile work environment, very political. Great benefits, but work life balance left something to be desired.
