July 2018

It's a very women-friendly office (being a nonprofit devoted to raising women's voices, it's not a surprise!) and the org was founded on an incredibly innovative and brilliant idea. In my experience, however, that idea was muddled by an excess of organizational goals along with an overemphasis on process. It definitely a safe and friendly space for women, but as a workplace, I was left wanting more clarity and direction.

Narrow down goals for the organization and stay laser-focused on them. Without that clear sense of direction, I felt disconnected from the mission and frustrated with the slow pace of progress toward unrealistic goals.

There are not many opportunities for advancement and as a whole management has failed to listen to feedback and ideas provided by employees.

The only reason I rate it a 4 and not 5 is because it's difficult to work from home. This is a place where it's really best/important to be in the office.

February 2016

I think men and women are treated equally and there are many women in high level positions here. The culture can be very aggressive, in my opinion. Your experience will be very much influenced by your boss and how sane that person is. Reorgs are very common here, and people seems to leave the company after a fairly short time -- there is a lot of staffing churn.
