Great place to work for women. I know many people, including myself, that were able to take time off for family reasons.

This is a very traditional 90 year law firm with traditional values. The state of mind is not willing to change for younger crowd.

December 2017

Right now it is very top heavy with men in upper roles. The men in the upper roles are paid very well. The current management believes the previous management didn't handle things well and has changed things. The current management won't listen to reason when it comes to employees issues.

If you don't mind being sexually harassed and put in very uncomfortable situations by your superior then the job is great.

They are flexible until you report sexual harassment. Once an employee reports management for sexual harassment your schedule suddenly changes to hours totally opposite of what you had previous to reporting.

  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

We were forced to cover the maternity leave of a coworker so that they would not fire her for taking maternity leave. Pregnant workers were pressured to make their maternity leaves extremely short using fear of replacement by management.

  • One Thing Employer Could Improve

Stop sexual harassment by management. And stop retaliation for reporting sexual harassment by management.

I would not tell anther woman about this employer unless they had a significant financial cushion or a rich husband who could subsidize them while they worked for peanuts. Of course, many adjuncts in America are in the same position.

As an adjunct professor, I am chronically underpaid and never compensated appropriately for doing the same work as tenured faculty. I receive no benefits including health, vacation, or sick pay, nor am I eligible for unemployment benefits.

Education os female dominate, but the company still seems ill-prepared to deal with a growing number of women in their child-bearing years.
