The people are amazing. It is the policies and pay of the public school system that is the downside.

There's a good balance of women and men. They are just starting to implement flexibility

Flexibility has just started to be rolled out at ING Australia. Lots of people are still adjusting and still want face to face meetings which makes it hard to work from home

The compensation isn't great but they will work with you for schedules if needed. They do not have maternity leave and that is a big sore spot.

August 2016

The work is fascinating and I have had the good fortune to work with some great people, including some really competent women role models. However, there are not as many women as men in senior leadership positions and you may find yourself outnumbered by men in many meetings. I have found that it helps to stand up for yourself and do things like speak up when you have a good idea, and work hard but don't let others take advantage of you. It also helps to have a boss willing to advocate on your behalf.

September 2015

Worked here for 4 years. Watched numerous male colleagues "earn" promotions despite the fact that they had less education, fewer direct reports, and less experience in their field than I did. Additionally, since the company is dominated by the Japanese, women here are actually 3rd class citizens behind the Japanese and any other man.
