    The company simply does not care about existence of maternity leave. I feel sad for those women working in this company because they do not have any other option but being a slave :(

    Some Russian people are running this company from UK. The cultural environment in the company is really terrible. There is no limit of work, but the salary is really very limited. There exists some so called senior officers, who are completely useless as they do not care about employees and developing the overall business activities. Does not follow any rules and regulations. Just wonder, how such company can run in year 2018

The culture is not one that is family-oriented. You have many young people, or single people who have a different mindset and focus. This makes working mothers the minority and overlooked when it comes to evaluations and promotions. There are also not many women in leadership.

Women treat each other very badly in director level and above positions. They do not want want to help each other get ahead above a certain level and the ones who do wind up leaving. Could be there aren't that many women in those roles and they feel the need to keep it that way? Overall it's definitely male-dominated with higher -level women stabbing each other in the back.

Bloomingdale's is a company of women run by a boys' club at the top. There are few female senior executives in the company, even fewer with children. There is also an unfortunate tolerance for unprofessional behavior and misconduct. A tip: For three months following maternity leave, select pyramids (RTW and Men's) allow for working from home on Fridays. This is typically negotiated directly with a manager, and is not communicated as an official policy.

It's a mans' world, like any other industrial setting. However, MOST men realize we live in the 21st century, and will respect you as long as you pull your weight. I've had a fantastic experience with the guys on all crews-- my supervisor, on the other hand, has a documented history of discrimination against females. When it became an issue, I went to HR for help. Despite 25 and 30-year veterans, guys on my crew, and even other supervisors being willing to testify to the fact that discrimination had been going on, HR refused to act... They wouldn't even speak with the host of witnesses (my guess to the cause of that is because if they ask and receive confirmation of my story, they HAVE to act, by law.) They claimed that they were initiating an "investigation," and then weighed only his word against mine, despite the proof and witnesses. It all depends on your department-- just don't expect HR to act on your behalf, if you experience a problem.
