I'm a freelancer. I can do whatever I want! That said, I think I'm much harder on myself than another boss would be. I set a very strict work schedule for myself.

Since I'm self-employed, these questions aren't really applicable. However, I will say that I'm looking to return to full-time work because I'm tiring of the isolation, financial insecurity, and lack of benefits. There are plenty of positives, too, of course.

It is both a treat and a challenge to be your own boss. I love being the one crafting the direction of my business, but it can be oppressive, when life happens, to know that there is no one else there filling in for you or picking up the slack.

I have left more than one job because of the lack of work life balance. Now I run my own business. I'm an awesome boss because I control the amount of hours I work. Those hours are quality hours for my clients because I am fully engaged, with no guilt or other encumbrances. I've never had such freedom and I'll never give it up.
