Work for yourself! It's stressful but worth it in the end.

I don't have children nor will I :-) That would be a nice option to click on above. You say "I didn't take maternity leave 'here".

I am an independent contractor (1099 job) selling many lines. This job is only good if you have a second job, rep other lines or don't need to make much. You were from work and are left alone which is great for someone who needs that. They must be prepared to hit the road often though.

I enjoy working for myself, and I think the flexibility and autonomy I have outweighs the difficulties and responsibilities which can come from being self-employed.

I can give myself more flexibility than a traditional employer would. But at the same time, I am also responsible for my business, so sometimes flexibility is not an option.

I am desiring to do something different than I have been doing, and I would like to work remotely. I am still interested in remaining self-employed, though.

  • Recommend to Women?

I am self-employed and do not have any employees, so the answer is difficult to quantify.
