Great flexibility and good benefits and our opinions are valued, however no upward mobility so you need to be happy with where you start because chances are you will end your career in the same position.

Because this company is so large being good at your job is not good enough. You must be the best, and not just at your job function, but as an ambassador for your department.

Depends on the department and job function. Sales has great flexibility hourly employees are held to specific time schedules.

Difficult work environment, continual changing goals and directives. Mostly due to changing managerial changes.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. Entry level business development positions are widely available and because the outside sales teams are mostly men who don't want to grunt work it is generally an easy position for a woman to get hired. I would also encourage anyone who is interested in a company with good benefits fmla, vacation, tuition reimbursement, take an entry level position and work really hard to get promoted.

They are great in regards to promoting women, having flexibility for parents, and being overall very gender friendly. It's really a company that strives to "know better, do better" and I love that.

I've worked in multiple departments in this company and for the most part the work/life balance and flexibility with children is phenomenal across the board. I've heard horror stories about other companies and the way they are with mothers (and fathers) in regards to having the ability to flex for the children's sake. From the departments I have worked within Thomson Reuters, this company has been amazing.

June 2017

Some divisions of the parent company, RELX, are very proactive in their diversity and inclusion programs. Others, particularly businesses based in the U.K. do not. It tends to be window dressing and a lot of talk with zero action.

There are cultural nuances that come to play which are sometimes quite stringent when it comes to work hours. I'm fortunate to be part of a global team which largely works remotely and that my job is not in Operations which would require me to be at the office all the time.
