The parental leave policy is amazing and frankly, the available benefits are unheard of with other employers. TR recently expanded their parental leave policy. It now offers up to a total of 24 months off, up to 18 paid (12 paid + 6 temporary disability). The 12 week paid parental leave is gender neutral. They also offer great medical benefits, including fertility coverage (as of 2017, up to $10k). They also offer adoption assistance (as of 2017, up to $5k). In addition to these fantastic benefits, the CEO has made a public commitment to increase the number of women in high-level leadership positions to 40% by 2020 (and offers quarterly updates on the progress of this goal).

It depends on the group you work in, but the overall goal is for the company to be flexible and provide a high quality work-life balance.

Reduce workload per person, even at executive levels. We need to prioritize as a Company, and then stay with that focus of our goals (and not give neutral performance reviews for those who don't keep providing courtesy service outside of the priority/core focus).

This is still a heavily male dominated industry, I would not recommend it for breast feeding mothers or if you have children with special needs. However, the compensation is very good so you will likely be able to afford help once you're in a senior position.

Great flexibility and good benefits and our opinions are valued, however no upward mobility so you need to be happy with where you start because chances are you will end your career in the same position.

Because this company is so large being good at your job is not good enough. You must be the best, and not just at your job function, but as an ambassador for your department.

Difficult work environment, continual changing goals and directives. Mostly due to changing managerial changes.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. Entry level business development positions are widely available and because the outside sales teams are mostly men who don't want to grunt work it is generally an easy position for a woman to get hired. I would also encourage anyone who is interested in a company with good benefits fmla, vacation, tuition reimbursement, take an entry level position and work really hard to get promoted.
