As long as you are okay with keeping your head down and don't have ambition for your career you won't have an issue here. But if you want to have a career and make a difference, you will not be given the opportunity to do so.

You will be told you are free to be flexible, but as soon as you try to utilize that, you will be made to feel as if you've done something wrong, and in general your co-workers will degrade you for doing so.

There is a group of men at this company that essentially run the company, despite having a female boss. They are extremely sexist and degrade anyone who does not cater to them. They have gotten 3 women out of the office by using bullying and harassment. It's is widely known and accepted by the owner (who is just as bad as the male employees) to the extent that the owners daughter is treated similarly. Nearly every female that works in the office feels treated unfairly, but the pay is decent, so we stay.

RUN. There are much better opportunities out there with employers that legitimately care about their employees. This company is all about being cheap as possible, racist, and sexist.

December 2015

On the whole, women are treated equally as men. There are various one-offs and since it is a faithbased organization, these interactions can be understood more by learning where someone worships. If their tradition does not affirm women in leadership roles, they are less likely to respect women in authority.

September 2015

There are not a lot of official policies that support women and especially women with families. Maternity Leave is only what is mandated by the law (FMLA) and the paid portion is only if you have the short-term disability. However if you know your worth and are willing to state your preferences - as opposed to asking for permission - you'll end up with a work/life balance to suit your needs. As a sales organization, it's all about performance - and proving "them" wrong if they don't think a working mother can handle the responsibilities and high growth expectations.
