Depends on your management and how flexible and open they are to having a work-life balance. Ethics is questionable in many cases.

The company is also incredibly male dominated within the managerial roles, I question the lack of female development and ethnic diversity within the company.

Challenging culture overall, but not gender distriminatory. Very flexible environment for families.

Bank of Nova Scotia is quite inclusive at the bottom, but not sure about up top. Management is still male dominant.

Employee owned company so the culture is great. Women are respected. We could use more women in senior leadership roles.

Make an anonymous hotline to report problems in the workplace. Managers don't do anything about complaints against men's negative treatment of women.

February 2016

The cats on the campus are feral and carry Toxoplasmosis which the Mayo Clinic notes that "infants born to infected mothers and for people with weakened immune systems, toxoplasmosis can cause extremely serious complications." It's extremely dangerous, disgusting, and despite fights to rid them from the campus - is not going to change anytime soon despite noted diagnoses of this infectious disease on record.

January 2016

Generally had no problems working here, but when it comes to promotions, politics and preferences of the bosses definitely factor in. They do have good benefits, a perk is being able to bring your baby in with you until they reach the age of six months. However some benefits may be going away with the state of the state government.

Its a great company to work for unless you are planning to start or expand your family. There is an unreasonable expectation when it comes to time commitment and work/home balance.
