Under staffing is the key issue coupled with lack of ability to have a voice that's heard. Too many layers.

Maybe. The company is privately held and in growth mode and the hiring is focused on engineering and technical know-how. Women do achieve leadership roles but it's disproportionate at this time. When the growth hits stride the other roles will be filled. It has a bright future but the leadership is very male focused at this time.
