Overall, this company is very family friendly and provides you with a flexible working schedule. However, the HQ location is in NY and there have been times when meetings are scheduled at times that can add an extra level of stress to the morning routine (ex. daycare drop-offs).
Job Satisfaction Level
10 paid / 2 unpaid
The number of paid weeks was determined by the type of delivery and the amount paid varied between 50-100%.
Depending on the role, you will have a decent amount of flexibility. It's great for working mothers - the management team is supportive and accommodating. There is a ceiling though as the majority of the management team is based in NY so if you are a remote employee, you either need to commit to traveling more or be content in your current role.
Senior exec team is very male dominated and there are very few females in leadership positions. Flextime and other family-friendly benefits are department specific and are not judiciously allocated. In my department, a new mother was denied her request to leave by 5:45 daily to collect her child from daycare and she left as a result. It was very deflating to witness. Some working mothers in other departments have better arrangements, but it is very varied and dependent on the employee.
In transition after not keeping up with internet competitors. To work here, you must embrace dramatic change. It is a little to "peppy" and expects employees to be very excited about everything. That comes from the culture of weight loss - remain optimistic, push forward, YEAH!
Most top leaders have changed in last 3 years - a transition still underway.
