May 2018

It sounds great to be able to work from home, but work loads are very large with little support. So although you could be flexible to volunteer at school or take a sick child to the dr you will make up for it with nights and weekends. Also, you may be passed over for a promotion if you have younger children. Assumptions may be made about your ability to travel or your dedication to long hours.

Work remotely for the most part. Makes for long hours, but also allows a LITTLE flexibility to take care of personal needs.

They speak to flexibility but don’t action. They profile female hires but don’t support fair pay or flexible working hours.

I really wish that Emblem provided fully paid maternity leave instead of 66%. It really was an insult and I felt compelled to return after 3 months because of this.

October 2017

In general, a great place to work. Flexible schedule and support varies depending on your dept, and leadership. In general, compliant with all CA laws regarding disability and maternity leave which allows for protected and semi-paid leave, plus generous sick and vacation time. 9/80 flex schedule and travel benefits are nice when the babies are older.

It's all about who your manager is. I always found my manager to be respectful of work life balance and my needs, but didn't hear that 100% of the time with others.

Use this as a stepping-stone experience-when you're single and don't have any family responsibilities. Long hours, low pay, minimal growth opportunity but great resume builder.
