Pending Promotion in new state
I am officially going to be offered a promotion with my company, but the position will be in another state and i just found out i'm pregnant. should i take the job, even though we will most likely move back after we have the baby? should i turn down the promotion to stay close to family during the pregnancy?

How do you handle unlimited paid time off policies with maternity leave?
My company offers "unlimited PTO." Women who go on maternity leave are not allowed to take vacation leave following maternity leave. The company has no clear policy on how many days a woman is allowed to take for vacation in the year before or after having a baby. I am very cautious to not take too much leave, but also don't want to miss out on vacation time which I should be allowed to take. I am afraid to take any vacation days leading up to childbirth and get the sense I am not allowed to take any in the year after I give birth, with the exception of sick time. Are there any laws around how unlimited vacation time policies work in tandem with maternity leave?
Pregnant before my 1 year anniversary at my employer
Being pregnant before being eligible for maternity leave, how will that work? I’m concerned about what will happen once I disclose this information to my boss. This is my first time being pregnant before reaching 1 year at any employer I’ve worked at. Advice is much appreciated!!
Experiences of lay-off while on maternity leave and interviewing while pregnant
I'm pregnant and due in February 2018. Unfortunately, my company is going to be acquired by another company and there are rumors of layoffs. As long as I'm on FMLA and there are no mass lay-offs, I should be fine. However, if there is a mass lay-off, I will loose my insurance at a time I need it the most. My upper management is unable to answer any questions and is not responsive to this concern at all. Any positive experiences with COBRA? I thought I would have a stress-free maternity leave but now I will need to look for a job. I was wondering anyone out here has interviewed while over 7 months pregnant? Do you face any bias? Are they open to taking maternity leave during the first 3 months on the job? I just need the insurance and its bad how its so strongly tied to the place of employment.
