The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Qualifies orders for placement based on payers requirements and collects and analyzes all needed documentation for billing. Acts as the liaison between customer, 3M, and third party payer to ensure the order meets regulatory and payer requirements. Develops a robust relationship cadence with Wound Care professionals which results in greater ease of doing business with 3M.

• Demonstration of complete knowledge of the 3M ordering process which includes understanding of 4 major departments within the Advantage Center.
• Utilizing independent problem-solving skills to develop streamlined processes to limit contact with Wound Care Clinics while staying within the confines of Acelity process and procedure rules.
• Analyzing and prioritize orders based on initial assessment of documentation and customer and/or business urgency.
• Verify third party payer benefits and eligibility (online or telephonically).
• Reviewing and analyze payer specific requirements and coverage criteria to determine required documentation and accurate billing criteria.
• Conducting in depth review of clinical documentation (medical records, prescriptions, operative reports, history and physicals) based on billing criteria.
• Calling Wound Care Clinics or field personnel to obtain missing documentation required for placement and/or billing. 
• Providing a high level of customer service in a competitive market.
• Acting as a resource for Sales and other cross functional departments to provide order status and any other information.
• Participating in any and all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by management.
• Building support and maintain patient, physician, and third-party payer loyalty and to increase the number of orders through enhanced customer services, customer relationship management, and technology utilization.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Two (2) years healthcare experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and email
• Deal with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
• Problem-solving skills
• Successful completion of 3M Ship Pending training program
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as well as, independently

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel

Relocation: Relocation is not authorized/Remote work may be authorized

Work location: Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)

The expected compensation range for this position is $41,471 - $50,686, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
