3M is seeking a OPERATOR PRODUCTION I located in Quapaw, OK. This position is a FULL-TIME position.
Job Description:
The person hired for the position Production Operator I will be responsible for producing and assembling products in the plant. They operate and maintain machinery, ensure production standards are met, finalize products, and prepare them for shipping.
Responsibilities:
- Observing all safety procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area
- Applying quality instructions & specifications (Detail Orientated)
- Working as a team member through sharing information, problem solving & assisting others
- Operate PLC or DCS controls, hand tools, various powered trucks, valves, and some test equipment; set up and operate equipment where moderate adjustment is required
- Perform work requiring general knowledge of production principles where productive process depends on an ability to detect and correct the defect. Basic understanding of Lean principles.
- Must recognize any non‐standard conditions and/or raw materials and know when to take the necessary action or seek advice; Must use judgement to perform semi-repetitive job involving some variety of detail or responsibility where actions to be taken and decisions to be made are limited
Required:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
Desired:
- Minimum one (1) year of plant and/or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military environment
- Post-high school education
- Basic computer knowledge
