The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Patient Support Specialist’s focus is to proactively facilitate 3M™ V.A.C.® Therapy transitions from the acute setting (hospital) to OOH settings (HHA, WCC, SNF and LTAC). The Patient Support Specialist ensures that all required documentation for the V.A.C.® Therapy order is submitted and coordinates with the Advantage Center on completing necessary paperwork.  The Patient Support Specialist also provides leads for core V.A.C.® Therapy disposables, 3M™ Veraflo™ Therapy and 3M™ Dermatac™ Drape.

• Achieve financial and strategic goals from assigned customers
• Conduct inventory management to verify all hospital V.A.C.® Therapy Systems are accounted for, while rounding in acute care facilities to manage and prioritize patients on 3M™ V.A.C.® Therapy
• Generate patient transitions by developing and managing relationships with Discharge Planners, Case Managers, 3M Customer Service Reps involved with 3M™ V.A.C.® Therapy
• Promote 3M™ Express Program with customers to easily initiate 3M™ V.A.C.® Therapy orders, get prescriptions signed via DocuSign® and track order authorization online.
• Provide in-services, training and general guidance to customers on how to complete a V.A.C.® Therapy order; the advantages and implementation of the 3M™ V.A.C.® Ready Care Program; and how to educate a patient on the use of 3M™ ActiV.A.C.™ Therapy System

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Two (2) years of sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Current, valid Driver’s License

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in Medical Device sales
• Experience working with discharge planners and case managers

Work location: Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid) (St. Paul, MN)

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
