The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Systems Control Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Know and apply the operating principles, purpose, proper application and design limitations of primary sensing elements, control circuitry, and final control devices used in closed loop and open loop industrial process control systems. This includes electronic, digital, analog, pneumatic, and mechanical methods of signal generating, conditioning, transmitting, and recording.
Read and work to the indicated accuracy, specifications, and tolerances as detailed on engineering drawings, machine assembly prints, machine construction prints, blueprints, sketches, equipment manuals, process flow diagrams, and vendor diagrams.
Set up, operate and read precision testing and measuring instruments to the instrument manufacturer’s specifications of accuracy. Precision testing and measuring instruments include devices such as ampmeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, dead weight testers, potentiometers, thermometers, velometers, scales, tachometers, strobe lights, hydrometers, gages, and recorders.
Work from both written and verbal instructions. Effectively use the computer software designated by Plant Engineering. Work with cross functional teams, including engineering groups, manufacturing groups, vendors, etc. Contact vendors and fill out purchase requisitions to order parts as needed.
Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate, and make adjustments to complete systems, system components, and circuits used in the measurement and control of current, voltage, temperature, humidity, speed, vacuum, pressure, level, weight, velocity, tension, flow, time, frequency, thickness, viscosity, and density.
