    The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

    As a Senior Team Leader, you will be responsible for all of the operational activities within the responsible area handling respective processes and ensuring that customer service, quality targets, and other requirements are met to the highest standards. The Senior Team Leader is responsible for managing the team in terms of performance, HR compliance, and career development.

    Here, you will make an impact by: 

    ·       Leads VAT Compliance team and ensure timely and accurate tax return submissions to tax authorities

    ·       Responsible for all aspects of the team’s performance, day-to-day workload management, reporting, and monitoring of operational results.

    ·       Conducts and attends regular team meetings to review performance and update current progress against operational targets ensuring customer expectations are met in full.

    ·       Collaborates with teams and various work groups, also APL, and GPL to resolve Tier 2 level issues.

    ·       Ensures compliance with regulations

    ·       Undertakes other duties and tasks that may be allocated, that are appropriate to the job

    Your Skills and Expertise    

    To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

    ·       Bachelor level university/college degree is preferred in Finance/Tax/Accounting/Supply Chain Management

    ·       Knowledge of theories/concepts and practices of Indirect Tax (particularly VAT/GST)  or other taxes

    ·       Proven ability to meet deadlines in compressed timeframes; ability to manage priorities

    ·       Teamwork and customer-oriented, innovation skills and striving to achieve objectives

    ·       Ability to communicate in written and spoken English

    Your Skills and Expertise    

    To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

           I.         Education and Experience

    ·       Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a Specialist/Subject Matter Expert (SME) capacity and/or minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

    ·       Experience in shared service center/captive BPO and/or accounting/audit/consultancy firm is an advantage.  

    ·       A Bachelor's level university/college degree or higher in Tax or Accounting is preferred.

    ·       Applicable professional certification (i.e., CPA, MBA) is preferred.

    ·       Project management/ERP deployment experience is a plus.

         II.         Knowledge

    ·       Thorough knowledge of theories/concepts and practices of Indirect Tax, particularly international VAT/GST – APAC Countries

    ·       Thorough knowledge of the assigned area of responsibility, general 3M/multi-national company (MNC) structure, organization, and business.

    ·       Applies knowledge of the business to align with business needs and goals.

    ·       Proficiency in SAP, OneSource (Sabrix), Blackline, and Concur, is an advantage.

    ·       Proficiency in General Ledger Account Reconciliation tools (i.e, TRecs, Blackline, etc.) is an advantage.

    ·       Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Alteryx, and other data analytics and collaboration tools.

    ·       Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
