As a Mechanical Engineer for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China, you will be responsible for assisting in the try-out and debug of machines in the press shop. Working within a multi-disciplinary design team, interpret customer requirements, and assist in reducing project lead times by standardization.

This position reports to

Senior Designer

Your responsibilities

• Designing and detail equipment of press automation systems
• Making layout drawings for press automation line
• Making civil work drawings for press automation line
• Communicating with supplier and supervise manufacture and quality

Your background

• 5 years mechanical design experience in automotive industry or mechanism manufacture industry (press automation systems preferred)
• BS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
• Experience working with design engineering projects
• Experience with Auto-CAD and know well 3D CAD systems
• Experience with machine start-up problem solving
• Experience in the machine tool or automotive industry
• Knowledge of machine automation, automotive manufacture, and applications of robotics
• Experience in a project environment
• Ability to work with Microsoft Word, and Excel
